Abdo Stays Out in Front, Rooted in the Past

Late last month federal prosecutors indicted a Northeast nightclub owner and eight associates after seizing 220 pounds of cocaine and almost $1 million in cash.

Three weeks later, developer Jim Abdo said he had a deal to buy the club as part of a 15-acre, $1 billion housing and retail project he hopes will serve as a catalyst in transforming a major chunk of New York Avenue at the city's eastern gateway. Read more »
